White Hair Silver NeedleĀ is aĀ white teaĀ produced inĀ Fujian ProvinceĀ inĀ China.Ā Silver Needle or BaiHao Yin Zhen or usually just Yin Zhen is the Chinese type of white tea. AmongstĀ white teas, this is the most expensive variety and the most prized, as only top buds (leaf shoots) of theĀ camellia sinensisĀ plant are used to produce the tea.Ā The leaves are layered several times with jasmine blossoms to absorb the aroma before being removed and the leaves rolled into tight pearls.

Brewing: Use 2 to 3 pearls to start with to test your required flavour strength. Brew for 1 to 3 minutes using fresh water at 80C, as long as the tea leaves stay moist and warm they can be infused 3 to 5 times.
